SUPER BOWL COMMERCIALS WE LIKED OR HATED

Looked like about half of the commercials were pretty lame. I think the
Lassie Chevy truck, Dogs Bud Party and the e-tade baby were the best.

The bad ones..........too many to name.

I didn't get to see all of them, but my favorite was the one with the little kid as Darth Vader. :)

...okay I change my mind, I'm declaring it a tie between the snickers ad and the Volkswagen ads.
Both my #1 favorite this year.

Sorry, after some deep thought, I decided to make the Volkswagen ad my second favorite and make it a tie bewtween Snickers and Pepsi Max for best ad this year. I loved "first date". Where it's all about what they're thinking...

Better than last year's ads. I wonder why Denny's did not do their free grand slam the Tuesday after the Super Bowl this year?

I thought that was Rick Moranis reprising his role as Dark Helmet from Spaceballs. ;D

UGH!!  If I never see another "talking baby," that would be fine with me.  Bad enough that these were just retreads of last year's spots, which if that weren't bad enough, somehow got Lindsay Lohan's attention!  ::)  (Didn't we learn anything from Baby Bob?)

I think Roseanne was trying to make herself the "Betty White" of 2011, but her spot just
seemed like a rip-off of last year's add. All those lame spots......Darren Stevens or almost
any 6th grader could have been more creative than most.

What was the point of the Detroit/Chrysler ad? You hardly saw the car (which looked kinda like a PT Cruiser to me), you did see what a 3rd world dump Detroit has become and you got to see Eminem, which ain't a great sales point. Honestly, that ad was depressing. It was one of the worse ones.

Firepoint is right too, the talking baby ads are creeeeeepy!

The talking-baby ads have gone the way of the Geico cavemen. They've run their course. Stick a fork in 'em.

At least nobody's threatened to make a TV series out of them, AFAIK.

I saw the Detroit Chrysler ad. Right up until the very end I couldn't figure out if it was a commercial for Chrysler or for Detroit. I like Detroit, but I associate it with slums, failing automakers, burned down houses, and gangs. (And for what it's worth, even today you're far more likely to get murdered in Detroit than you are in most of Mexico, save for Ciudad Juarez.)

My favorite was the Audi commercial showing the escape from the luxury prison, complete with Kenny G to lull the prisoners into unconsciousness. The Kia Optoma ad with all the various creatures stealing the car was pretty good, too.

The worst ad, in my opinion, was the Groupon ad that tried to cash in on Tibet -- that one was just in horrible taste.

I agree with that.

Another good commerical was the promo for the NFL which used past tv shows (Cheer's, Brady Bunch, etc) with their favorite football jeresys on.

I liked that ad, but I liked the first part of it better.

Wait, Darrin is supposed to be one of the most talented ad men in the business. At least in 1972.

That was one of my favorites too. Very clever.
