I saw the Mayan Apocalypse spot on Mediaite or Business Insider because Ford claimed they were unfairly demeaned in the spot...and YES, the insertion of the Hostess Twinkie into the spot was funny. I thought the Coca Cola polar bear spots were insipid, except that they included music from WITHIN Beethovens' Fifth Symphony, including the attaca transition from the third movement to the finale.Ken said:blackgold said:How about GE's commercial showing people sitting down to some Bud Light? Must have missed that. Another AD with cross-promotion was the Chevy end of the world commerical and one of the guys had Hostess's Twinkie. Which was funny as didn't Hostess just go backrupt.

I think most, if not all GEICO ads are SD only, leading stations or cable networks to either stretch the picture or show them pillarboxed.
