Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show Lineup Announced (2022)

During tonight's Sunday Night Football they ran an interview with Dr. Dre & Snoop Dog about the halftime show:

They say Pepsi is making a donation to a school that Dre is setting up.

A significant number of Hispanics have been drawn to the sport and they will make up the fans and adult players of the future.
Hockey is soccer with a weapon. It has a rather logical similarity, and Hispanics who see it and have it explained seem to really like it. The problem is kindling the interest.

On the other hand, there is nothing harder than trying to teach someone from a pure soccer nation how American football works. The genera reaction is, "they wait five minutes, somebody counts some numbers and they jump on each other".

On the other hand, after the last 18 months, it's sociologically an appropriate thing to do at this time. Those who don't agree can tune out and listen to some Morgan Wallen songs.

Unnecessary cheap shot at Wallen and country fans in general.

Or, I could listen to The Judds or Jason Aldean or Kane Brown or any of the many other country artists who haven't

made the news for making racial slurs. A distaste for rap and hip-hop is hardly indicative of bigotry, so, with respect, I

think specifically referencing Morgan Wallen was unfair.

I see many more soccer players staying down and grabbing their ankles after a collision than hockey players. Wonder how many soccer players come back to play after hitting the dressing room for stitches. ;)

Totally agree. Too many rules. Officiating seems to take longer and longer every passing year. Lots of strategy involved in play calling. Soccer seems to be the ideal game for people from different cultures/languages to play. As a former referee I never had to say a word during a match.

One of the most lighthearted statistical analysis that comes out of the Super Bowl each year is the one published by adult entertainment website Pornhub. Since 2014 they've been releasing statistics about general traffic on their site before, during and after the game, the amount of traffic they see from the cities of both opposing teams, the amount of hits they get immediately following the game from the winning team's city vs. the losers, the most searched for terms or subject matter on Pornhub throughout game day, etc.

They may be performing their show in Arlington...

Crazy California gave us the Rose Bowl last year, and this year, looks to be the big one !!
The NFL doesn't do SB restrictions...
The Cowboys AT&T Stadium is confirmed as the alternate site for the SB this year. The Grammy's have already cancelled their LA event.
McCarthy has a chance to win two SB's in the same venue!!

Death rate per 100,000 people from COVID in CA…191.

In Texas, 258.

But sure, Texas is smarter.
Bo, Texas has been the entry point for over a million immigrants in the last year and it is documented that as many as 25% of them arrive in the US with COVID and become spreaders in lightly documented communities.

If that's true why aren't they instituting some precautions? Why is the state instead interfering with some local governments that are trying to slow down the spread?

they don't even enforce the current mask requirement at Sofi Stadium

Fox News has entered the chat.
Why does a verified fact have to be dismissed and attributed to Fox News?

The historical statistics show that less than half of illegal immigrants get documented. That goes back to when we first looked into it at KTNQ in LA when we did an all talk format. Today, the carteles have made a business out of immigration, and have provided trucks, tractors, provisions and teams of guides.

Based on the experience of those who process those who "sign in" seeking asylum or family reunification, a significant percentage have covid.

And that is without getting into the migrants brought in at a much higher cost from Africa, South America and Haiti.

Much like Fox “news,” it tries to deflect ownership of anything bad about the GQP and pinning it on the big bad Democrats despite no evidence of causation. Those awful immigrants are to blame, otherwise Texas would be a shining beacon of immunity?

Eight of the top 10 states in terms of per capita deaths are red as red can be. Two, NY and NJ are solid blue. By my math, that’s four-to-one.
