Super Dish and DirectTV Worldwide

I saw two satellite dishes today, they were different then the regular circular ones for the average subscriber. One had SuperDish written on it, the other had DirectTV Worldwide written on it, the standard receivers have just Dish or RCA DirectTV written on the surface. These dishes were not round but oval and larger than the standard dishes. Are there other services that Dish and DirectTV offer that span a larger selection of overseas channels, plus more digital and music channels??

The international channels require a larger dish. No extra music channels or general entertainment channels are available with a larger dish. Some HDTV channels may require a larger dish.

HD does indeed need a larger dish. When I replaced my receiver I inquired about HD receivers and dishes. They told me I would need a larger dish (I presume to capture more satellites). I opted not to get HD at least until the price of the receiver comes down and more programming is available. In addition the Directway, now Hughesnet, broadband service requires a larger dish. Though I am not sure of the branding on the dish itself
