Super Estrella's Morning Show Is Now Off Air

Carlos Alvarez's morning show is no longer on air. He posted this on his FB this morning. Wonder why?

MUCHAS GRACIAS: La vida esta llena de etapas y hay que saber cerrar cada una de ellas cuando el tiempo lo requiere y otras oportunidades se presentan. EL SHOW DE "CARLOS ALVAREZ EN LA MAÑANA" YA NO ESTARÁ AL AIRE. Quiero agradecerte a ti que diariamente nos acompañabas en las mañanas. Agradecer a cada uno de mis compañeros que formaron parte de este sueño. Taly Taly quien siempre fue ella sin tapujos y sin importar el qué dirán, Hyacinth quien aprendió mucho en tan poco tiempo y quien tendrá una gran carrera por delante, Luz Esparza quien tiene un tren de trabajo, entrega y energía sin igual, DJ Mixtery quien nos hizo bailar y despertar con buena vibra, y mi estimado Tommy Fernandez, quien en su momento nos hacia reír con sus locas ocurrencias.

Otros proyectos muy interesantes han tocado mi puerta, los cuales estoy ansioso de empezar y muy pronto les comunicaré de que se trata. Mientras tanto les pido seguir apoyando a 107.1 Super Estrella, una estación que me ha dado tanto en tan poco tiempo y con la cual seguiré unido de una manera u otra; además de estar eternamente agradecido.

Gracias de todo corazón, de parte de cada uno de los integrantes de "Carlos Alvarez en la Mañana", nos vemos muy pronto, que Dios te llene de bendiciones!!

An 18-49 1.1 share in the July book and a general downward trending would be why.
 
David, do you think part of the problem is due to KSSE putting Álvarez on in mornings when he had previously done afternoons (at KLVE)? Some hosts simply fare better in certain time slots. I can point to John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou's ill-fated KABC morning show as an example. On the other hand, KFWB morning man Gary Owens did just fine when he took over the afternoon show on KMPC.

When Álvarez says "hay que saber cerrar cada una de ellas [etapas] cuando el tiempo lo requiere," it sounds as though ending the morning show was his decision.....but I'm guessing that it really wasn't. Has KSSE management issued a statement or made any announcement of a new morning host?
 
Looks like they got a new morning show called Las Mananitas. I heard it this morning and it sounds way off. I didn't like it at all and couldn't even stand listening to it. They sound way out of place, like it doesn't belong on the station. I think one of the hosts is one of the guys that used to be with Piolin. He sounds the worse, it doesn't flow with the format. I also didn't like the fact he kept on making a lot of sexual puns this morning. Instead of being funny, he came off as a perv.

Super Estrella now has Carlos Alvarez on the afternoon and Bely is no longer shown anywhere on their site.
