Super Patriot or Certifiable 1Y?

Ain't talk radio grand!

Radio-Info "Taylor On Radio" February 22 said:
Jon Alvarez was acknowledging Joe Stack’s war with the I.R.S., which led him to crash his small plane into the I.R.S. offices in Austin and kill one staffer (a Vietnam War veteran and father of six).

The Syracuse Post-Standard reports the WFBL personality and noted super-patriot saying “This guy was making a sacrifice to others who were having problems with the I.R.S. We at least owed it to him to make note of his thoughts.”

Facebook didn’t share Alvarez’ feelings and took the page down as a matter of policy. The newspaper reports that Alvarez “devoted his Friday show” on Buckley's WFBL (1390) to Stack’s attack on the I.R.S. and said many people “just want to label him a loon. I’m surprised more people haven’t done something like this.”

Alvarez was energized after 9/11 and became a highly active supporter of the Iraq war. He hanged documentary filmmaker Michael Moore in effigy and (says an earlier Post-Standard article) “ran a contest to build a papier-mâché pig out of the Quran.” He also spent time in Iraq, after joining the Army in 2005.
