Superbowl Halftime show in 1 word

Awful.

BRING BACK JANET AND JUSTIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
YEAH !!! Janet and Justin was the Best Superbowl Halftime show EVER !!

Dull.

Back in the old days, they'd end their shows by destroying all their instruments. That would have been cool tonight.

The best part was reading Twitter, and seeing comments from people who had no clue who the band was, but recognized the songs from CSI. Good thing they didn't do Magic Bus.

Good example of how Twitter is exposing a new reality...teens and 20-somethings have no clue who "The Who" is, and don't care. Time marches on, despite what some of us 50+ think.

I'm 31 years old and am a big fan of "The Who". Problem was, and I was afraid of this, the concert was nothing more than a commercial for the CSI franchise (like it needs more promotion). Couldn't we have heard "Magic Bus" or "My Generation" instead? At least we got to hear a little bit of "Pinball Wizard", although not as much as what we heard of the "CSI songs".

Personally, I'd like more of these classic artists as opposed to Janet & Justin. I know I'm in the minority for my age group but that's just how I feel.

I think a true musical talent is due to perform at halftime of the Super Bowl... William Shatner!

Don't worry. Next year you'll probably have someone more contemporary like Jay-Z or some other rapper or non singer who has to use AutoTune to get by....

I might watch if they close caption it so i can understand what they are rapping....

My kids were speculating on which ones were wearing adult diapers. :D

I was betting on one of The Who members to have a stroke.

Daltrey looked like he was going to have one. Very disappointing performance by The Half-Who. Not the same without Entwistle & Moon.

In a word, groovy.

In more words, the CSI "franchise" did not write the music, The Who wrote the music. The CSI "franchise" promotes The Who, not the other way around. Also pretty groovy to see Ringo Starr's son on drums, no?

Nice laser show too.

I guess I just prefer the genuine talent of accomplished people who have proven themselves, regardless of age, over gimmicks that degrade our culture.

I guess the "suits" think that aging rock stars are somehow safe and still cool. I think it's just sad to watch these people as old as I am try to duplicate their Glory Days. I couldn't watch. Other than that, the game was great and my guys won. "Brownie did a heck of a job as a Colts fan"

I don't think The Who were trying to duplicate their glory days. They didn't trash the stage and the instruments and have it surrounded by 500 young dancers doing The Swim and whatever else they danced to The Who with back in the day and shooting up on stage. Maybe they were pandering to the "CSI" angle a bit.
I'm sure they know their limitations these days. They shoulda did "Eminence Front" though, instead of the "CSI" derivatives. But that would probably be too unfamiliar to the 20somethings. Then again, the 20somethings are probably googling FlowTV and whatever ads they saw that they didn't know, so them kids will prolly be all right.
