:'(Happened Friday afternoon to the long-time KISS-FM PM driver. Was only a matter of time: He'd been suspended several times before.

Wonder who PD Mark Medina will find as his replacement.
 
It's highly likely you will hear him on JAMZ soon. Then the transformation to 2003 will be complete. Uggg.

That's too bad... he was one of the good guys.
 
Not that I think it's going to happen, or that KMVA even has an opening, or if they did, that they would pay enough, or that he would even take the job...

But does anyone else think that Supersnake would be a better fit on Movin' 97.5 than 101.5 Jamz? Movin' is targetting the demo that listened to him on Power back in the early and mid-90's. Plus, I would imagine that Supersnake is more familiar with (and more passionate about) the songs on the Movin' playlist compared to what Jamz offers.

According to the San Francisco Board, there is a posting that states Supersnake is no longer with 106 KMEL.
 
Supersnake one of the good guys?? Are you kidding? Dwayne has got to be the most backstabbing, condescending, fake people in radio I have ever worked with! And I've been in radio over 25 years! Honestly, I would never get on this board to bash...never have. But, I just can't let the comment about Snake losing his gig and being one of the good guys go by. I have never worked with a more arrogant guy that really does believe it's all about HIM. Never like to see anyone in the this biz lose their job, it's too hard to stay up and on the air for year after year. And yes, Snake has somehow held on for decades in contemporary radio, so for that, props for the accomplishment. I just wanted to point out that along the way, he has made just about ever co-worker he worked along side feel like an idiot, and much less important. C'mon man...does anyone know what I'm talking about here?

I think I know exactly what you're talking about here.

I'm guessing that you may have worked "along side" Dwayne at some point, and instead of giving you the props you thought you deserved, you thought he treated you like a less important idiot.

Now I don't want to speculate on why he might have treated you that way, but my experiences with the guy have always been positive.

In fact, the only bad things I've heard about him seem to emanate from a certain morning show that has worked "along side" Dwayne at two stations now. Mmmm...
 
Snake will not land at JamZ. I do hear that additional jocks will be announced soon, and Super's name ain't on that list, so I am hearing ;)
 
Well, I have worked at one of the station's Snake worked at, but not on any morning show....so much for that conspiracy theory. ;D

I've known Snake for a little while, but knew of him long before that.
I've worked with jocks who were A LOT worse, some of them are on this board!

Funny! When I first went to the Special K link, the picture I think Lil Bridie's referring to loaded halfway. There was a guy with a hat on but I could barely see the face. Then I hit Refresh and now that picture's gone! I guess the Webmaster saw the post and deleted it.
 
You're right, Brian4: Picture of Snake IS in the middle of the page, left hand side under "My Kiss Family...." Snake's the one with the orange beret-style cap, and orange & green stripped shirt.

Baaaahhhhh Supersnake...I remember when he worked at X-100 in SF and was staying on the air until the Giants clinched, but he was in a hotel next door sleeping.
