How is this station doing? I don't see it in the ratings. Am I missing something?

It drew a whopping 0.5 12+ in the summer book. Lowest rated Houston FM among those that actually showed up.

Doesn't matter how SuperTalk is doing anyway. Format flip to SportsTalk coming in January.

It appears some pre-flip shuffling may be underway. I noticed Boortz was on an additional hour in the mornings, and Clark Howard was on in place of Dave Ramsey.

I will be sorry to hear some of those guys go...they have been fixtures in Houston radio. Wonder where they will end up next?

I imagine Boner will go back to selling real estate and Pruett will go back to his gun shop.

Does Schultz do that well considering the rest of the KTRH lineup?

Besides, as much as everyone wants to call it one, 97.5 isn't a Houston station. It's a Beaumont station that city-grades 40% of the Houston market.

Ramsey ought to be on from 7 - 10 PM, then at 10 they can go back to Art Bell. Ed Shultz is a joke - a very bad one.

In about a month it will be a Mont Belvieu station. Beaumont has lost yet another station.

Yes, but it will still cover Beaumont better than it does greater Houston. The tower is still in the same location.

As does 93.3, 98.5, 100.7, and 107.9! The only thing moving the COL from Beaumont does it is put it officially in the Houston DMA....and change the EAS assignments (if they havent asked for a change already)....but what a waste; putting ESPN on 97.5. I miss Ramsey already...

BTW the new Liberman tower in Devers is up...I understand they are shooting for the 15th of Dec or Jan to go on it...leaving only Univision's stations and 99.9 on the CC tower....thats the last of the 2000ft rimshots to the east to be done.....unless Univision tries to build their own....but would be better to buy the tower from CC....which I doubt they will...

New transmitters as well? Or moving the current units from the old site?

I'm still trying to figure out the reasoning behind this new tower...hardly any closer. Probably just a case of owning instead of renting.

Yep...thats it...Liberman does not like to lease....even though for BIG companies, thats all they do...tax advantage for some reason...oh well......From what I know, LBI will move the transmitters one at a time over.....(98.5 has 2 CEC 816R-5Bs and 107.9 has a 816R as well as a newer HT35 Harris..running at 27KW)The new tower does allow 107.9 to go non directional (BIG WHOOP! The current antenna on the CC tower was a "modified" Jampro or similar....it probably throws MORE signal to Houston than it should anyway) IF LBI was wanting to do it right, a master antenna would go up and both stations would be on it....otherwise, one antenna is going to be higher than the other on the tower.

Nice way to spend 3-5Mill though huh??
