SURE IS QUIET AROUND HERE!

OK, I'll make some noise.

Spokane radio seems to always sound better than the market size indicates. Some really good talent and good programming on many stations.

Spokane TV also is quite good, perhaps because it bleeds into many far-reaching areas like Western Canada. Not sure there is any advertising opportunities there however.

Hispanic radio continues to grow in Eastern Washington. No surprise there, really.

Come to think about it, there just really isn't much to talk about.

I miss the days when KJRB and KREM were farm teams for their Seattle counterparts. Now that was interesting!

Yes, so quiet, that my attempt to make noise was even ignored. There's got to be something going on in Washington radio outside of Seattle...or, maybe not! Meanwhile, the Seattle thread is active, full of opinions, soap operas, and more. I don't live in Eastern Washington, so please, somebody make some more noise!

Well, that's what I was tryin' to do... just trying to prod someone into telling us what was UP! I was really curious about Spokane and if anything new was happening. I guess it IS kind of quiet. Oh well, that's cool.

Oh, still so quiet...

But my travels will take me through Spoka-loo (sorry, Spokane), next Monday. I will be sure and report back as to what I heard! For anyone who cares or gives a...

Ok. I'll help with a question.

Why are Proactive's stations making such a poor showing their first few books?

I've only listened online because I'm out the the area, but they sound like tight, well-programmed stations.

You'd think that Live 104.5, being the only mainstream CHR, would score at least a 2.0 12+.

Z107 didn't even show up in the last book.

What's the deal? Is interference from the booster stations too rough in populated areas? Or do they just simply need more time to grow?
