Surprise!! Another Sponsor

Anyone else noticing the weather team promos on Channel 8? The latest hypes Troy, Steve, and Greg but doesn't include Delkus. Then comes the tag--"Sponsored by Mrs. Baird's bread" and a quick 15 second commercial blurb. Yeah, they're raking in the bread, alright. What's next to be sponsored?

I have noticed that they are still running all their weather mind spots from before Delkus. I really would thought they would have made a couple of new ones by now to include him.

Here's a novel idea. Have Delkus take his weather on the road in the Metroplex. Do live shots from different locations each week as kind of a "Meet Pete" segment.

This is another in their series of bumbling ways to tell the public that Pete is NOT taking Troy's place immediately!

True. One would think it has nothing to do with lead time needed to produce wx promos that include Delkus. Channel 8 once held the record for spot production of topical promos. A story broke at mid day and there were promos hyping 8's coverage on the air late that afternoon. Could be WFAA's way of signaling that "the change" isn't going to happen anytime in the immediate future. Then, they may have been so excited over hanging a sponsor on what once was a non-revenue promo that it slipped their mind what actually is (or issn't) in the promo itself.
