Susan Stone and Mike Flatt leaving KSLX

Both for reasons unrelated of radio, and both voluntary. Stone is going into nursing, while Flatt's wife took a new job in Boise ID.

I'm guessing that the ::) icon refers either to your opinion that Jack's burned out, or maybe his colleagues find him tough to work with. I dunno, I never worked with the guy. But the above descriptions are apt for lots of jocks. If the guy's truly burned out and a total a-hole in the office, OK, buh-bye.... But judging as a listener, he's entertaining and seems to make a connection with the audience.

I'm guessing if Jack wants back on the radio it wouldn't be difficult for him to alter his style enough to fit the Classic Rock genre.

After all, last time he was on KOOL was a true Oldies station.

By the way, speaking as a longtime listener, this is a huge blow to the station. Susan Stone and Mike Flatt have on-air styles and personalities that are irreplaceable. These talents cannot be duplicated. They're really going to be missed.

Liz Jordan will become Programming Assistant and will voice track overnights, while Randi Scott takes over the evening shift.

That's the announcement as of Friday Nov 18th.
