Susan Wornick retires from WCVB/Boston

Susan Wornick retired yesterday from WCVB after 34 years with the station as noontime anchor, reporter and consumer reporter.

Here is her farewell at the end of yesterday's broadcast:

Erika Tarantal will replace Susan as noontime anchor, probably co-anchoring with Bianca de la Garza, who herself will be leaving the station in May (although she hasn't been around nearly as long as Susan) to start her own entertainment company.

After 20 years, anchor/reporter Liz Brunner left back in October to start her own communications company. Here's her farewell after Ed Harding finally shuts up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnF3nh0aNt4

Sports reporter Mike Dowling just left a week or two ago. He was with WCVB for 28 years and spent a couple of years with rival WBZ for a couple of years before that. Apparently, he didn't actually get to say goodbye on-air:

I believe only sports anchor Mike Lynch and reporters Jack Harper and Janet Wu have been with station since Susan and Mike started with WCVB back in the 80s (Susan in 1980, Mike in 1986).
