Susan Wornick retiring from WCVB

wow end of an era indeed.

Susan Wornick (by the way, she grew up in the Boston area) is a "double threat", not only a solid anchor but also a top-notch consumer reporter.

I presume WCVB-5 may have to find two people to replace her!

Susan was also great on radio… I remember her from her days at WBZ. (Likely where she met her husband Bob Lobel). She’s a pro and a true class act.

She was always very good when anchoring live breaking news and always tried to make sense out of what was going on. I felt bad for her a few years back when she was on for hours on the day when those college kids placed those objects all over Boston and everyone thought they were explosives and that it was some sort of terrorism. It turned out to be a publicity prank by some idiots and the objects were a TV character or something. Everyone in the media had egg on their faces that day. Good luck to Susan.
