Suzy Garcia is now on WFLY 92.3

strange maybe she will cover the afternoon drive, because Chuck Benfer is looking for a program director as we speak, I know suzy was working for culumus media in poughkeepsie. i heard if chuck B. doesn't find one he could use marissa as program director

Suzy was one of Chuck's many people he likes to bring in to ABC from Poughkeepsie.

I have a feeling that he'll make Marissa the Interm PD then get someone else, from the outside, to do it...that tends to be his history...

Roger? doesn't she work for culumus media? or did she leave to go to abc? yeah marissa wants the job but I think her being so busy with the afternoon drive/APD and music director will force her out of the PD Position all together they will get someone from the outside I am sure, I am very curious to who that might be will have to wait and find out.....

I think she has a great voice but she is only temporary until they find a replacement right? or will chuck B. fit her in somewhere

She's ok. Nothing exciting about what she did.

Having lived on Long Island since childhood I listened to radio's top markets and market #1 for most of my life. Suzy has been on my radar as a stand out since I moved up to the Mid-Hudson Valley about a decade ago. This area is in the shadows of NYC and she really stacks up to the New York Talent. I am not familiar with Albany's radio landscape and what your talent pool is like up there, but Jingleberry maybe give her another listen. Could be new format, new building, new market etc.

Remember when Suzy Garcia was suppose to do her show on WGNY's "Fox Oldies" at 1220/98.9 a few months ago, that never happened. She also did her gig at WRKI's "I95", but that lasted a few months until she went to WFLY to do middays on "Fly 92.3". I hope Suzy would do a great job on her show.

well it be nice to have more females on-air at fly more of a mix but will have to see how well she does , chuck B loves her so she could of found a permaneant home we shall see.

Good for Suzie! Suzie Garcia did an excellent job on 97.7 WCZX in the Poughkeepsie market for years. She along with Bob Miller were let go from Mix 97.7 last February, partially in a budget-cutting move (syndicated Rick Dees replaced her), when the station moved to a newer music mix. How ironic, is it that she would land in a much larger market, at a station playing CHR, aimed at a younger audience.

Is she PD material? a female PD could a refreshing for this area. Who better to understand getting the female rating

I just spoke with Suzy Garcia and she is only on fly until this Friday I guess she is helping out and filling in but she still works at I95 Rock as a weekend host http://www.i95rock.com

Chuck B will have to make a choice maybe she will leave I95 Rock and make the move but Chuck B would need to offer her more money though....

Suzy Garcia: I am not sure what's going on...i think i am just filling in here..

Suzy Garcia aka Sue Turk did mid-days on K104 in Poughkeepise until she left in 1997. I am hoping that she says on FLY 92.3
