Suzy Kolber Recalls Drunken Joe Namath Interview

I remember seeing that as it happened. My friends all agreed that Namath would have to drag out the podium and apologize as he announced that he would check in to a rehab center.
 
Wow. I had totally missed this when it happened. Joe must have really been knocking back the drinks. I'd have to have about 6 double-shots in a short time before slurring my speech like that, and Namath probably has about 50 lbs on me.
 
I thought she was very kind and gracious to Joe. A lot of women in the media would likely
not have been so understanding.
