Swarm of Earthquakes hits Bakersfield

September 21: A Swarm of Earthquakes hit the Mettler area just south of Bakersfield today, The quakes were centered where the I-5 meets HWY 166. The quakes topped out at 4.7 beginning at 1:24PM PDT.
KNZR coverage of the quakes during 4:00PM drive time newscast: Nothing not a word
like it never happened. Yet the Fox News Channel found time to covered it as well as KCAL L.A.
Turns out KNZR has no local news at 4. Could you imagine Buckley's WOR New York not having a local drive time newscast? or blowing off a local 4.7 Earthquake.
More evidence Buckley has little regard for the folks of Bakersfield.
I know an account exc. at Buckley Radio Bakersfield, I'm told it's not for a lack of profits Buckley has good billing in Bakersfield.

FYI: Clear Channel coverage (you know, the one that is supposedly voice tracked from far away lands):
KBKO: Full report at 1:40 pm with Toni Marie and Brent Michaels
KGET: Live report on Jack Duncan's show
KDFO: 2pm report by Don Delecruise
KRAB: Danny Spanks story about being on the crapper during the quake.
I too was bouncing around the dial (as well as bouncing around the office).

KUZZ: Mark Howell live at 1:28 with preliminary magnitude, after jock airs call of contest winner feeling the quake during the call.

Live and local wins again.
