Col. Potter was pretty old, was a farm boy in his youth and was a member of the Cavalry during WWI. Perfectly honest of him to use "horse hockey".
 


Here's one from outside the USA an actress did a skit that resembles "Whose Line is it Anyway". Note this show is from South Korea and the person in question was supposed to improvise and the actress in question switched from Korean to Tagalog (language from Philippines) she said "What did you say" in Tagalog but the close caption in Korean was censored due to the fact that the writers had no idea if they were swear words or not.
Yes this skit has a resemblance to Whose line is it Anyway from the UK and USA.
