Sweeper on Mix 98.5

"Bunker Hill...it's not as high as Brokeback Mountain...but it's seen it's share of sweaty men..."

Is this supposed to be funny? I don't get it. Is it a reference to the Revolutionary War? [sardonic rant] Or is Mix implying that gays cruise Bunker Hill? If it's the latter, I don't think that's very appropriate. Kids could be listening. [/sardonic rant]

I'd say that it's a Revolution reference, not saying that Bunker Hill is a gay "hot spot". I'm sure the "kids" that are listening already figured that out...

That's pretty stupid....

Very not funny, and a product of poor judgement...

Getting back to the radio part of the discussion, it seems that Mix tried to be funny and failed instead of just playing the hits. Let the new kid on the block down the street run the corny sweepers.

Huh? I was on topic, and your message otherwise makes ZERO sense...
Were you perhaps attempting sarcasm?

Re: That's pretty stupid....

Given that not just music, but sweepers and liners are also tested on focus groups, I wonder how this one got through.

I misinterpreted what you said. My mistake.
