For those asking about Sweet Willie Mitchell's services,-Saturday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Valley Church of Christ - 4013 N. Dallas Ave - Lancaster, Texas
I remember well when he was hired at KVIL. I think he came from Midland, if memory serves me correct.
After he left us, I used to hear him on KKDA AM and then one day I was walking down the corridor at ABC Radio Network, and after at least a decade since I'd seen him last, we saw each other and had a good chat. It's funny there was a kind of "understanding" among all of us that worked at KVIL during that time...it was good to see he survived it all okay too!
