Sylvannia's 106.5 wants to boost coverage area

Sylvannia licensed 106.5 WZBX has filed an application to boost power to class C3 status and to change its city of license to Rocky Ford. The upgraded signal would cover Statesboro with a 60dbu signal and keep Sylvannia in the coverage area.

Definitely no surprise there, especially with Georgia Eagle Broadcasting just having bought the former Communications Capital II cluster in Statesboro.

I was listening to 106.5 today and it was playing classic rock, calling itself Rock 106.
When did this flip take place?

I think it's been that way for a while now. I guess with this move it will be less likley that 106.3 WOAH Will not be getting it's 50% increase as 106.5 already Clashes with 106.3 when you get in the Statesboro area Sometime my RDS will say Rock 106 on 106.3

ROCK 106 WZBX, as they call it, flipped sometime around 12 or 1 o clock on June 11th,....Much more of an improvement than the cookie cutter country that is available on about 8 station in that area. Like the alternative here in the sticks.
