One thing I do appreciate about Kid Kelly's show is that he is still putting in the effort to record new shows for each week. Listen to Backtrax USA (80s or 90s) on any given weekend and he will make more than one reference to a new album, where an artist is now, or remember an artist that may have recently passed.
Meanwhile, Nina Blackwood's Absolutely 80s Show is a package of 52 shows that replay on the same weekend every year. You can hear where topical references have been edited out, and based on the station shoutouts the episodes were recorded in the early 2000s. MG Kelly's Absolutely 80s is the same way.
I do like the internal only iHeart "The 80s Show" that is hosted by Jeff Stevens. It also seems to be freshly produced each weekend.
