Syndicated programs in Merge 32

I've had problems with spots not placing properly in Merge 32 in syndicated programs. Music hours and Satellite hours work great. Everything falls where it should. The Syndicated shows are ripped in TLC. The show is set up in a Selector clock. The problem seems to be that every week when a show is ripped in the segment lengths are different. As an example a show is set up with segment 1 of 10 minutes and then a 2 minute break at 10 after. One week the segment may be 9 minutes next it may be 12. When it's short merge wants to fill the extra minute, out of the fill category, over filling the break. If it's long Merge won't fill the break or place the spots for that break after the next segment. Anybody experience this type of problems?

I think this is more of a Selector issue. You might want to create a clock in Selector specifically for this show, then schedule the clock on the calendar thing (can't remember the name of it) in Selector. Merge is probably pulling songs because Selector is telling it to do that. Take the fill category completely off the clock in Selector and you should be OK.

Check and see if you have your show segments coded as an M which is mandatory. Our breaks here are coded with an M when we need to fill the breaks otherwise they are coded with an L Powerfill will only operate when it detects a mandatory fill designated by a M in Selector Hope this helps Maybe you can post part of your SKD file for this show
