SYNDICATED PROGRAMS THAT HAVE JUMPED FROM STATION TO STATION

Here are Sacramento and Bay Area SYndie moves:

Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy!:
Bay Area went from KRON TV 4., then with NBC to KGO TV ABC 7, when KRON went to early NBC Prime Time in Fall1991.
Still on KXTV 10 in Sacramento in spite of them swapping CBS and ABC with KOVR-TV in 3/1995

ET:
Still on KRON 4 even after NBC affiliation moved to KNTV 11 San Jose and that knocked Monterey-Salinas out of an ABC stations, I think KSBW-TV NBC 8 runs an ABC station on a subchannel not sure.
Sacramento: KTXL TV 40 (1981-82) KCRA TV NBC 3 (1982-86), KXTV (1986-95?) KOVR and KMAX as of this writing

The Oprah Winfrey SHow: KXTV (1986-2002) KCRA (2002-2011) Bay Area KGO for all seasons

The Joker's Wild (syndie) Bay Area KTVU 2 (1977-78,1984-86), KBHK TV 44 (1978-81, 1983-84) KTZO (now KOFY) TV 20 (1981-83, here it mixed in with the CBS and NBC game show discards by KPIX and KRON) Sacramento KCRA (1977-78), KXTV (1978-79), KOVR (1979-82,1983-84 after that TJW was nowhere in Sacto. unless you had an antenna to pick up KTVU or WOR-TV 9 NYC on cable)

Tic Tac Dough KXTV (1978-79), KOVR (1979-82) KCRA (1982-84) KMAX (when it was KRBK-TV 1984-85) KQCA My 58 (when it was KSCH, 1986 when the station signed on that spring after sign-on was delayed due to the February 1986 floods ,this was when Jim Caldwell did the last season of TTD , Wink Martindale Having left for the Ill-fated Headline Chasers )Bay Area : KBHK (1978-79,1983-84) KRON (1979-81) KGO (1981-83) KTVU (1984-86)

Bullseye /Celebrity Bullseye I don't think anyone in SF had it, you had to rely on KOVR or KMAX or WOR to get it KOVR had it in the first season, KMAX the second

And back to New Orleans and Gulfport/Biloxi: I'm sure Oprah Winfrey has been on WWL and WLOX in their respective areas since day one.

But as for Wheel of Fortune/Jeopardy? WLOX has too carried them from the beginning for the Coast, but in New Orleans, they were moved from WWL to WVUE a few years ago.

Another show that I think switched stations in N.O. is Entertainment Tonight (WDSU > WWL > back to WDSU).

Adding on for the Bay. Note: I don't remember exact dates for some.
Ricki Lake (1993-2004) - KRON (93-95) > KGO (95-97) > KTVU (97-04)

Sally Jessy Raphael (later Sally) - KRON > KGO > KPIX > KRON

Jerry Springer - KTVU (92-00) > KBWB/KOFY (00-present)

Montel Williams - KBHK (92-02) > KTVU (02-07). Seems like the Bay Area is one of few markets where Montel did not air on a Big 3 affiliate.

Maury Povich (later just Maury) - KRON (91-99) > KOFY (00-04) > KTVU/KICU (04-present)

Wendy Williams - KNTV (09-10) > KOFY (10-12) > KTVU (12-present)

Live with (includes Regis, Kathie Lee, Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan) - KTVU > KRON > KGO

Donahue - KTVU (until 86) > KGO (87-95). One of few Bay Area markets where Donahue debuted on an independent; KVRL (now KRIV) in Houston is another example (from looking at classic tv listings here)

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - KPIX (02-04) > KGO (04-present)

People's Court - KGO > KPIX > KTVU. Revivial 1997-present: KTVU > KPIX/KBCW

Friends - KBHK > KTVU/KICU

Didn't KGO air ET at one point in the early 1990s?

Yes, 'ET' aired on KGO for several years, up until the February 1992 switch. I believe it started in the fall of '87, after KGO dropped the John Davidson version of 'Hollywood Squares'.

Since the two were paired together, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune aired in Cleveland on WEWS (ABC) until last Fall, when they moved to WOIO (CBS)

Wanted to add a few more

Live with Regis/Kathie Lee + Kelly + Michael S. - First on KSTW, then gone from Seattle airwaves for a year, then on KOMO where it is today.

Jerry Springer - KING > KSTW > KTZZ > KCPQ + KZJO (reruns) > now just on KCPQ.

Jenny Jones - KIRO > KTZZ > KCPQ

Maury Povich/"Who's the Daddy" Maury - KIRO (during 1990s "real" talk show) > KCPQ/KMYQ reruns only. Now just on KCPQ (who's the daddy show)

Millionaire - KOMO > KONG > KSTW

Rosie O'Donnell - KING > KOMO (I have a 1997 KING episode on a VHS)

Oprah Winfrey - KIRO > KING (to 2011 cancellation)

Some of what I remember

For Chicago, the current version of Live, with Kelly & Michael will change from WGN-TV to WLS-TV, & for the first time in the program's history, Live will air at 9am, rather than the overnight hours. The only reason it was never on at 9am before, was because they had Oprah on at 9am (one of a few markets where Oprah was not on at 3 or 4pm), & was too successful to ruin the ratings of her show. Since Oprah is no longer on, & then Emily Barr created local talk show Windy City Live, WLS-TV saw Live with Kelly & Michael (probably as Live with Kelly alone) a threat to the ratings. So WLS-TV became the last ABC O&O station to pick up the program, & will air it at 9am this fall. Windy City Live will replace the 11am news.

Dr. Phil: While it's always been on WBBM-TV at 3pm, they're still the primary affiliate today. WCIU however became a secondary affiliate, & has his show on at 9am (only after WLS-TV dropped Oprah in May 2011). Before that, WCIU was airing his show in the evening hours (I believe at 6 or 7pm) on WCIU 26.2 the U Too.

Back in the day...
WWE Superstars and WWE Wrestling Challenge was on channel 20 (IND, now CW) of Waterbury. It later aired on channel 26 (IND, now ION) of New London.

WHBQ → WREG → WLMT → WPTY/WATN → WMC

Ones I know off the top of my head:

Hard Copy: WCAU - WTXF - KYW
Seinfeld: WTXF - WPSG
Jeopardy!: KYW - WPVI
A Current Affair (original version): WPHL - KYW
Taxi: WTAF - WGBS - WGTW
Cheers: WTAF/WTXF - WPHL
Family Matters: WGBS - WPHL
Roseanne: WGBS/WPSG - WTXF - WGTW
The Cosby Show: WCAU - WTXF
Coach: WTXF - WGTW
Married... with Children: WPHL - WGTW
Airwolf, Knight Rider, The A-Team: WPHL - WGTW
Hogan's Heroes: WPHL - WTXF - WGTW
In the Heat of the Night: WTXF - WPHL - WPSG - WGTW
Star Trek: The Next Generation: WTAF/WTXF - WPHL

King of the Hill, Frasier: WTXF - WPSG
Home Improvement: WTXF - WPHL
Donahue, Sally Jessy Raphael: WPVI - KYW
A Different World: WTXF - WGTW

Continuing with Philadelphia, The Joker's Wild in syndication moved from WTAF to WKBS (after a period of being off in the market) to WPVI. The current Family Feud through its various hosts has bounced all over the place with stops at WGTW, WTXF, KYW, WPHL, WPSG and WPSG/KYW in tandem. Who Wants to be a Millionaire moved from KYW to WPVI. Entertainment Tonight went from WCAU to KYW. Live with (fill in the blanks) moved from WCAU to WPVI. The last syndicated Newlywed and Dating Game revivals went from WTXF (in their "revamped" forms) to WGTW (reverting to classic formats, in the same runs).

Anchorage (again):

Ellen DeGeneres
KTUU to KTVA in 2011 (occupying Oprah's old 4:00 slot)

Judge Judy
KTBY to KTUU

Entertainment Tonight
Moved from KTVA back to KTBY in 2013 (new owners had just taken over KTVA, who wanted to beef up their struggling news operation)

Here in its home market of Atlanta, I think "WCW Worldwide" was on another station (definitely not TBS, though they would get "Pro" in 1995) before going to WAGA for the remainder of its run.
