Syndicated Ryan Seacrest middays on Star 94?

Ryan Seacrest middays on Star 94?

No not really, hypothetically.

With Seacrest's syndicated gabfest having launched (back in June) on Hot AC and Top 40 stations including WXXL (XL106.7) Orlando, Fla., KIMN Denver, KBEE Salt Lake City, WAEB (B104) Allentown, Pa., KMYI San Diego http://www.edisonresearch.com/home/archives/2008/07/first_listen_on_air_with_ryan.php and now more recently being picked up by WXKS (Kiss 108) Boston and KMVA (Movin' 97.5) Phoenix, how would Seacrest fit middays between The Morning Mess and Cindy & Ray? I see Seacrest as a possible fit on Star as they're already talk intensive in the afternoons with Cindy & Ray ... as opposed to Q100 (although with Billy Bush late night on Q anything could happen). Or if the Cumulus budget ax falls on Q100 imagine Seacrest middays and the newly syndicated Nudge at Night on Q100.

Wouldn't be too much of a stretch as Ryan worked as a part-timer at Star94 years ago.

I do see Ryan Seacrest on middays. That might be the only thing that keeps the Lite 94.1 away (at least for the short term).

Remember...Seacrest got his start in radio at Star 94. This sounds like a good combination...unless WSTR wants to turn on the "Lite". Either way, Tripp West better update his resume.

There are rumors of a major rebranding for 94.1, whether they stay CHR or not. Seacrest could possibly fit into those plans.

$20k/month to pay Seacrest syndicator vs. much less to continue to pay Tripp West?

Would be surprised....

Does it seriously cost that much to run On Air with Ryan Seacrest? Wow. Seacrest out.

we launched seacrest in three of our markets (soon to add a 4th) and it runs completely barter.

Must be small markets. I know a Clear Channel Station that is Market Ranked between 20 and 40 (so not to give up the exact location) and its costing them in the mid-teens.

After watching the Emmy's last night Seacrest should have his AFTRA card pulled.

For someone who hates liner card radio, you sure seem to be against freedom of speech ::)

or perhaps you've now come to the realization why liner card radio exists.

For those of us who didn't see the show, what did he say?

He said that Cabbage (Kabrich) was the kewlest person on this board.

No the show was lousy and he was one of the five hosts. The opening bit was the hosts adlibbing but they were talking over each other and had noting to say. They had no script and it was horrible. It was more painful than listening to the Morning Mess do a wacky prank call on Giant Brian.
