Syndication for 2023-24

One separate question how many stations carry The Simpsons, as the oldest comedy playing in FTA syndication but on KCOP LA its just half hour late weeknights, comment to name a station carrying the show.

The Simpsons airs on KDSM Fox 17 in Des Moines weeknights at 4:30am Monday through Friday. On Saturdays the Simpsons airs at 9:30pm after the news (if they don't air Hy-Vee Cheif's Insider) if they air the Hy-Vee Cheif's Insider then The Simpsons airs Saturday nights from Midnight to 2am. Otherwise it's 9:30pm and Midnight to 1:30am or 12:30am to 2am.

WXMI Fox17 West Michigan airs The Simpsons on the weekends in the 6PM to 7PM on either Sat or Sun been on Fox17 in Syndication since day 1. WXSP has added Karamo at 5AM M-F replacing Judge Greg Mathis second run.

It shouldnt been much later in the morning in the daylight

WJZY/WMYT had it for longer than I can remember, even pre-Harvey until 2014 when it moved to WAXN. WJZY aired it midafternoon at 2pm and 2:30 and also 3 and 3:30 pm while WMYT aired it at 6 and 6:30pm. WAXN aired it at 7 and 7:30pm and 9 and 9:30pm for a while and then moved the 7 and 7:30 airings to 8 and 8:30pm Also WSOC briefly aired it at 12:30pm.

The Ray Combs version used to air on WBTV and later WCNC.

I could see Big Bang moving to WAXN to help fill the void in primetime if Feud moves back to WJZY/WMYT. It said in the same article about Young Sheldon being sold in broadcast syndication that it was sold for a third cycle beginning in fall 2023. Maybe Seinfeld from 8-9 and BBT from 9-9:30.
Sinclair, Gray, Cox and maybe Sunbeam is not on the list on Family Feud on 2023-24 Season and no longer after 24th season and i guess move to CBS' WSBK-TV in Boston, MA. this fall.

How do you know these station groups haven’t signed on yet?

Can KUSI might lose the rights to KFMB perhaps, I know they gonna lose The Peoples Court and Dr. Phil.
That doesn’t necessarily mean stations like WAXN and WLOS 13.2 didn’t renew but it made it less likely.

I also wonder how many 4 PM newscasts are going to launch. As well if GMA3 or NBC News Daily moves to 3 PM as a lead in.

Even if Nexstar turns KTLA into an all news all day format (except weeknights 7:30pm and 11:30pm-4am) but I hope KCOP-KTTV or KCAL (despite launching a weekday morning show) might negotiate to fill up both Kamaro and Steve Wilkos in the LA market. Michela might a chance to get more exposure is not launching more newscasts and local talk shows. I hope San Diego might get a shot for Kamaro and Steve Wikos either KSWB or KFMB.2

I think KTLA-TV should of become NewsNation during the evening hours while KTLA-TV continues to air all Local News, all Local Time, obviously KCAL-TV would be an option to carry the entire Syndication shows what KDOC-TV showed since KDOC-TV 56.1 Independent station is gone forever for example this Syndication shows would been picked up by KCAL-TV:

Karamo
The Steve Wilkos Show
Friends
Family Guy
Bob's Burgers
Pawn Stars
Storage Wars
The Goldbergs
Young Sheldon
Last Man Standing
Full Measure with Sharyl Attkison
The Carbonaro Show
American Ninja Warrior
Championship Wrestling of Hollywood

That's my suggestions you agreed with my suggestions?

So far with the shows cancelled in Des Moines these channels have some gaps to fill

Woi 5 (ABC)
4pm-5pm will have to fill that hour unless they do decide to pick up Dr. Phil reruns but usually channel 5 wouldn't want a rerun show to lead into their local news but maybe Dr. Phil gave them enough ratings if they don't have anything to fill or if they decide to complete with news at 4pm to but I don't see that happening.

KCCI 8 (CBS)
Their shows have all been renewed for another season in syndication. The only change I can see is if they decide to replace the double run of Kelly Clarkson from 12:37-1:37am but it looks like it's been working for them this year.

WHO 13 (NBC)
1pm-2pm with Rachel Ray ending there is a lot of different outlooks that they could have. They could move NBC News Daily to 1pm and move Jeopardy to 2-3pm and possibly begin a 3pm Newscast or they could add a new syndicated show at 1pm or move NBC News Daily to 1pm and air a new syndicated show at 2pm or the 3rd option and the least likely is a 2 hour noon newscast.

KDSM 17 (FOX)
Noon-2pm and 1:30am-3:30am with Judge Mathis and The People's Court cancelled they will have new syndicated shows to fill. They could air the new Judge Mathis court show but all of the Byron Allen court shows have been airing on KCWI 23 so it could possibly air on that channel. They could pick up repeats of The People's Court just like they have been doing with Judge Judy and with how many seasons the People's Court has had the double runs could continue.

KCWI 23 (CW)
All those shows seem to be safe as well for coming back for another season. I can't remember if Karamo has got renewed or not yet but I think all the court shows have. The syndicated shows I think are also good for awhile except I'm not sure about American Housewife as they only have 103 episodes and they have already repeated themselves so much already.

Channel switches:
There could be some shows switching channels as well. This season WOI and KCWI traded The First 48 and Dateline NBC. For next season WOI could possibly want to air Tamron Hall since she will be new and KCWI could possibly air the repeats of Dr. Phil if they decide to air the reruns of his show.

FOX11Plus (KCOP13) might pick up the slack too instead of airing 4 hours classic tv they should put it to METV or Antenna TV instead

They are other options in the Los Angeles Market here's my suggestions:

1. Meruelo Media Group Full-Power Television Station KBEH-TV 63.1 would be an option flipping to an English language The CW West Coast Flagship Station in the Los Angeles Market and to air this Syndication shows what KDOC-TV showed since KDOC-TV 56.1 Independent station is gone forever and shows what KTLA-TV showed if Nexstar Media Group would of buy Meruelo Media Group since this station has a big coverage and a strong signal their transmitter is located atop Mount Wilson

2. Weigel Broadcasting Full-Power Television Station KVME-TV 20.1 and Low-Power Class A Television Station KSFV-CD 27.1 would also be an option flipping to an English language as The CW West Coast Flagship Station in the Los Angeles Market and to air these Syndication shows what KDOC-TV showed since KDOC-TV 56.1 Independent station is gone forever and Syndication shows what KTLA-TV showed if Nexstar Media Group would of buy Weigel Broadcasting instead of airing Jewelry Television affiliate

3. KUSI-TV 51.1/K12PO 51.1/K03JB-D would be another option to become as The CW West Coast Flagship Station in the Los Angeles Market and the San Diego-Tijuana Metropolitan and to air these Syndication shows what KDOC-TV showed since KDOC-TV 56.1 Independent station is gone forever and Syndication shows what KTLA-TV showed if Nexstar Media Group would buy KUSI-TV/K12PO/K03JB-D 51.1 since this station has a translator in Temecula and it is also carried on Spectrum (former Time Warner Cable) Channel 8 in the Temecula Valley and Inland Empire

This is my suggestions now you guys know that they are options for the Los Angeles Market
