Syndication for 2025-26

True Crime News is one & done not returning. Extra has always been on LIN/Media General/Nexstar since its debut in fall of 94 largely WOTV in late nights at 1AM was on sister station WOODTV in the late 90s 98-99 at 7PM, Extra gets a double run CW6 7PM to 7:30PM and WOTV 1AM to 1:30AM. I think Billy Bush remains host of the show now that Extra been renewed in my opinion unless he wants to leave the show.

Flip Side is renewed for season two and the Perfect Line is coming in the fall.

There will be holes to fill in the fall on stations in Des Moines IA. For the last couple years Extra hasn't been seen as it was previously aired on KCCI at 1:35am but then was replaced by reruns of KCCI 8 News at 10pm at 1:35am. Access Hollywood hasn't been seen for along time, can't remember the last time it was last aired.

I don't know how many new syndicated shows are entertaining the 2025-26 season to fill up any holes they have or if other shows not originally picked up will be entering the Des Moines market again like Extra, Access Hollywood or 48 Hours.

So far the cancelled shows they have to fill:

Pictionary - WOI 5 , 9am & 4pm
Person, Place or Thing - KDSM Fox 17, 11:30 am
True Crime News - KDSM Fox 17, 12:30pm and 1am

Not sure about other past shows already cancelled like People's Court, Judge Mathis or if any syndicated sitcoms are leaving.

Warner Bros. Discovery also has five sitcoms — The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Bob Hearts Abishola, Two and a Half Men and Friends — cleared on stations covering more than 90% of the country. At the right price levels, sitcoms are proving resilient on TV stations and other platforms.

Breaking News: Starting Next Week, Sony Pictures Television will take over distribution of the two popular game shows "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!" rest of the season and this fall from CBS Media Ventures after failed contract terms and amends an earlier lawsuit in the matter.

Down the road, whenever the broadcasting contracts are up, wouldn't be surprised if the CBS O&Os that air the shows (WBZ/Boston, KTVT/Dallas-Ft. Worth, & WCCO Minneapolis/St. Paul (WoF only) ) in retaliation don't renew their deals & the game shows air elsewhere in those markets.
