So sad to see this board vegetating. Once full of vibrant, ribald debate and character assassination, it's now moribund. Is this the result of the illustious Bone and Biggus having vacated the premises? Even the Bingo-town board has more activity. A moment of silence. And, because inquiring minds want to know... what ever became of Mr. Pettibone? Larger market or "on the beach, working for the state of NY?"
 
As I posted before, I had a call in to a former co-worker of Scott's to get his play-by-play of the situation and aall of his numbers had changed.

Witness protection program?
 
Maybe somebody's got some dirt on somebody else, and hush money -er - contract is being paid.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the contract runs out.
 
I never really gave a hoot about the crap Bone had to say, or what others had to say about him. But I do miss Biggus. I had a feeling I knew his real identity -- and if I was right, I believe he's still around. But no longer posting. Oh well.

Hey, how about all the changes recently on WSYR. Seems like they're trying to cram in little local news updates every chance they get. It could be nice... if only the board ops could execute the new format properly. Seems like you can be listening at almost any time of day or night and you'll hear sounders playing over network news, anchors being cut off by recorded weather or traffic, and so on. It's Screwup City at the big 570! I'm usually against axing people in favor of automation, but the board-ops at SYR lately are making Prophet look really good. Almost makes you wonder if the PD is doing it on purpose.
 
There's a Kind of a Hush

The loudmouth(s) at Clear Channel have been awfully quiet lately. Suddenly CC isn't the warm & fuzzy Big Daddy that you thought they were?

The lack of publicly-available ratings reduces the opportunity for bragging rights. Not that Citadel Syracuse has anything to brag about. Talk about a group in disarray...

Then there's Ed. With all the shifting around, everybody's afraid to say much about Ed. They may have to work for him, like it or not.

Finally, there's Utica. Stations selling for pocket change, and selling spots for pocket lint. Talk about ugly.
