Syracuse TV Reception

Hey there,

I'm moving to Syracuse in a few months and was wondering what kind of reception Syracuse residents can get as far as pulling in stations from neighbouring cities and such.

If anyone can point me to a site or has a list, it would be great. Thanks.

Well, it depends a lot on where you will live in Syracuse, will you use a roof antenna, etc. Even in parts of the city reception won't be the best for the local stations.

With a decent outdoor antenna & rotor:

Easiest: Utica & Watertown
More difficult: Rochester
Most difficult: Binghamton, Elmira, Canadian (unless you're by the lake shore, where Kingston sails in)
Tropospheric skip possibilities: Scranton/WB, Buffalo, Deseronto, Ottawa, Albany, Burlington

Between Syracuse area DTV channels and LPTV, many analog channels from neighboring cities are in use locally, depending on your exact location. This is only a general list, your mileage may vary.
