Terrie Carr, who has done mid-days at 'DHA for a bunch of years and has also served as P.D. for the last few, is doing her last air shift on the station today. She'll be missed. Best of luck to Terrie in her new gig.

Shes going to Sirius. With all the people leaving DHA and a low turn out at there diner remote this morning maybe it's time for Gredia Media to flip the oldies from 1250 to 105.5.

Not entirely sure that is likely to happen...Wishful thinking though. For the most part 'DHA and its Rock format are STABLE. Can we say the same for Oldies??

Re: One great lady - two great stations!

Terrie Carr was and is an exceptional talent. Her legacy (what she created and cultivated) at WDHA will live on. WDHA is one of the premiere rock stations in the country, and WMTR is a great oldies station. Greater media has a winning combination with these two stations as is.

WDHA does very well in the Morristown book. So does WMTR/WWTR. If Greater Media could start up a new class A somewhere in the market, I'd buy that. Otherwise, I don't see it.

Maybe WDHA does ok in their target demo in Morris County but overall 12+ they rarely crack the top 5...usually being beaten by WLTW, WPLJ, WABC. With WDHA's signal they SHOULD be a solid #1 in their home county...but the only way that's gonna happen is with a full service AC super serving their home county.

WSUS in Franklin (which is not the best sounding station) manages to pull whopping 17 shares by doing just that. And their only 20 minutes up the road.
