T-Man Hits SF

Lots of reaction on the SF Boards about T-Man hitting the market, most good. Many say he sounds like Tom L. which I never thought about before.
My take on the T-Man, Bob Rivers, Kent and Alan, Ichabod and the other big-name Seattle shows is that they are just that: SEATTLE SHOWS. T-Man syndicated before and it didn't work. Rivers syndicated before and it didn't work. Kent and Alan are way to local and lame to syndicate. The biggest strength of these shows is their local nature. Mark down the ratings in Spring. Let's check back at the end of Fall and see if T-Man and Rivers have increased or declined while syndicated. My money says they decline and that they have minimal or no success in their syndicated markets.

The best attack against these shows in Seattle is to go with all music. KJR-FM, JACK and MOVIN are all making some in-roads with music. WOLF hasn't even hurt KMPS mornings (while other shifts have seen KMPS drop). BJ has had no effect on Bob Rivers. KBKS has had no effect on T-Man or Kent and Alan. MOVIN took out KBKS mornings in trend one, two and three and the station is doing the best it has in four years. 96.5 is down somewhat, but still better than when Andy Savage did mornings.
