T2's "Heartbroken" - Top 10 at 104.3 Hit FM El Paso

http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/AllAccess/Stations.asp?c_let=XHTO-FM
Lots of good crossover Dance songs are finding their way to the playlists of Dance-friendly radio stations across the country. Yesterday we took note of Wild 104 in South East Texas. Tnight we turn our attention to Tx once again, this time over to the west side. El Paso's XHTO 104.3 Hit FM is no stranger to Dance music, and it's breaking a Dance record none of the Dance stations have picked up on yet...even though it went as high as number 2 in the UK charts a few months ago. Check out "Heartbroken" by T2

This is the Dance song I heard Hit FM play the other night. Its a great song, id say it has a UK Garage type feel, so its a perfect fit for a Dance-POP friendly rhythmic. I think alot more rhythmic's that still arent playing Dance need to take note of what stations like Wild 104, and 104.3 Hit Fm are doing. Nothing wrong with a rhythmic playing an occasional dance record, if you think about it, Dance really fits in with a Rhythmic playlist more than....say a Nickelback record.

Signed by Next Plateau for America. Still major spins in El Paso.

Interesting. I am going to El Paso this weekend so I definitely will tune in.

If and that is a big if they could market this song well, this could be the smash song of the summer with CHR, Rhythm, and even a few Urban stations playing this.

This could be like Ghost Town DJ's My Boo. A song that could crossover and be a major summer hit!

Hope it happens cause it would be excellent for dance music fans!

I get the feeling times are changing. More dance records are becoming accepted as mainstream.

The crazy thing is that this isn't your typical dance song. It's got much more of a UK garage feel. I wasn't a fan at first but after a few spins I can't get enough of it. It's been doing really well on my internet station.

Eddie O at Next Plateau knows how to market hits. So watch this one work it's way through radio stations, that are open to new sounds, pretty quickly.

PS - Totally agree that the Rhythmics will eat this one up.

It's a fun song for sure. If you listen carefully, you'll notice it borrows elements from Janet Jackson's "Again".

Just back for El Paso. Wow KPRR is a fun station especially this weekend. They played mixes all day Friday night and Saturday. I heard some dance, bass, and hip-hop from the 90s that they just don't touch anymore.

Kudos to Power 102!!
