TAB career fair

Wednesday, January 20th, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Murfreesboro. Take resumes with you, and expect to come home with more job offers than you can possibly handle! And make sure you sit by the phone and wait for them to call you! ::)

Okay, sarcasm filter turned off now! 8)

I wished that was true, but reality just now became real, what jobs are out there? 2009 has been the worst year I've ever seen! Thank You Washington D.C. and who is in running the country upon the hill. You're lucky if you have a job in this business today. It's not just in radio, and media, it's in all industries.

I know one thing.... If you want to do some independent sales, a few station are out there.... I have a newby MTSU grad hittin' it hard and getting some homies to buy, who normally don't buy radio... Networking Hometowners and a can do will work...

I have a retired Clear Channel employee working part time for me. It's good to have young blood out there, but sometimes they get discourage. My guy has been in the sales business of radio before you and I were born. He knows everybody in the area, knows who will or who will not buy, etc. In addition, he does High School Football for me.

You're in the same boat I am. Too much competition. I agree that networking all the hometown, small AM station would be great, but everybody's got to be on the same path, and not going in many different directions.

You must have gotten your automation problem worked out. I never heard back from you.

Scott.. So busy trying not to worry about the folks equity! Ha! Gregg Bickell of WIKY and Universitys of Evansville is coming down to train us on the scheduler (90 day trail) that will make it easy to run Simian... With the Fox Sports floating breaks, we had to go with it... SNR has hard breaks.. Yeah, some fubars, but the net is strong, the processing is second to none and I will finally get my sales manager on the street... Doors are opening.. Now to close the sales.. I must get other things fixed and added on.... We need to do weekend coffee soon.... Physically, 4.5 days in the building is enough. I need more networking.. It worked speaking at Kiwanis (Spring Hill last week).. We've made several contacts from that.. Finished my print promotion with two for one with local print mediums and they now are looking at trade and articles from here out.. I made good on my word to support them and they are now ready to scratch.. Looking for live show remote locations and getting ready to format Verizon to Verizon.. Dumping AT&T for Charter's $120 deal (as I never signed with AT&T and they kept sending increased bills for same service and disconnect notices..I would call and they'd say ignore...Bill paid..????).....One day at a time.. Smile!
