TAD & BRIAN AT THE DUNK

Well, not at The Dunk but on The Dunk. Looks like Coast is being more aggressive about promoting the morning show. I'm sure there are others around, but I spotted a billboard on top of Dunkin Donuts across from LaSalle Academy on Smith Street. I don't think it's an accident that the line is "FRESH EVERY MORNING" considering the building it sits on. It's about time someone did some actual promotion aimed at people who may not be current listeners since most is aimed at stations' present audiences. Other than Da Breakfuss Club's rolling billboards on RIPTA busses & Paul & Al's infamous 2 BIG (.)(.) ones, you don't see many billboards promoting the personalities. The billboard is very conspicuous & looks good. I'm sure there are others around too.

There's another billboard on Post Road in Warwick across from Ann & Hope. Scared the hell out of me.

I haven't seen them. Have they superimposed their heads on cartoon character's bodies? Seriously this means they're banking on this morning show to save Coast. They change the station's image in the morning but not the rest of the day. To be fair they're both talented. That's where it ends. They're misplaced together and they're misplaced on Coast. And the station has apparently decided the "wild and crazy guys gone wild" approach is what they need in the morning. Instead of having them come across as two regular guys who can be funny at times they hose down the audience with laughing gas every chance they get in a hit and miss approach. Sounds like a Leslie Nielsen movie. The problem isn't those two. It's the image the station is forcing on them. No doubt within a week they'll have them in fuzzy bunny costumes hopping around Garden City while Giovanni and Kim and Jones and Heather talk TO the audience.

There's a billboard right near Mt Hope High School in Bristol. Maybe their trying to target teenagers? - having it near schools? Hmmm...

I bet they're all billboards owned by Clear Channel. As far as Tad and Chris and Brian and whoever I'm surprised Coast didn't go with Brian and Jessica with the competition being all male/female.
