Does anybody know why Tag Martin hasn't been on the air at RED? I can't get a hold of him

Ya know... I'm not really sure but I've been wondering that myself. I heard he was back this morning but I didn't have RED on because he hasn't been on. You can bet I'll listen again tomorrow morning, but ya know I'll have to switch back and forth from that FM97 Morn Show and his. There's just too many choices in the morning!

What does one of these things have to do with the other? Tag never left Cat to be on afternoons at FM97. From what I can remember, he did weekends PT on FM97. I often heard him on Saturdays with the all 80's weekends WLAN used to do. Tag returned back on air Thursday morning, but I still am not sure why he wasn't there earlier that week. When I heard him on Thursday, he had several excuses as to why he was gone for 3 days - each excuse was more ridiculous than the last. When a jock goes on vacation, he usually says that he's going on vacation. This leads me to believe that something bad happened that Tag can't elaborate on air about and Citadel seems to be keeping it hush hush...does someone know something and no one is spilling the beans?

You may be reading too much into this. In my 30-years as a jock, I turned vacation time into a gag several times just to keep people guessing ; so have countless other jocks. It's radio. Maybe that's what Tag did, maybe not.<P ID="signature">______________

I know the complete story. Tag interviewed for a news anchor position at the Spanish network La Magazina. After the interview, Tag was involved in some minor fisticuffs. Apparently the dispute was whether "New Country" was superior to "The Legends" or vice versa. Three days in the clink cooled everyone down, and now Tag's back on the air.
So you see, it's nothing that can't be easily explained.

I just can't see why bickering over country music is worth 5 seconds in the clink, let alone 3 days. Tag should get away from Brad and the rest of the Hay Chewers over at Red, he sounded better on WLAN anywho. Yeee-HAw!

I had the great pleasure of working with Tag a few years back... He is extremely talented. In fact some people below the Mason Dixon line think that too. Anyway, I would have to assume that Tag may be celebrating some special personal times if he takes any days off!!! Congrats btw Tag.
