Taio featuring Kylie - Higher

When I first heard this song I didn't like it. It was only when I came across the Travie McCoy version that I liked it. Taio Cruz would've been fine by himself. I guess Kylie would've been, too. This is one of those cases where I agree less is more. One person doing this song (or one person per verse) is enough.

I also disliked Sean Kingston teaming up with Fergie on "Big Girls Don't Cry" and when I discovered Akcent teamed up with Lora to do "that's my name" (Although the Akcent one was more tolerable for me). Too much jumping around from one voice to a totally different voice just turns me off for some reason. If you're going to do an entire verse, then do it. None of this one person say one part of the same verse, then a totally different person with a completely different voice says the next part of the same verse..etc. etc. etc.

We're playing the Album version on Vibe - that's Taio solo. Kylie version was for UK, Travie for US. I think the Album works best for dance.

Yup, I was in Vegas this last weekend, and caught this track on Vibe. You'd think a dance station would be all over the Kylie mix, however the station was quite refreshing and surprising very mainstream. I didn't expect to hear original versions of BEP (a weird butchered edit of "The Time"), Enrique, Rihanna, or Usher but perhaps its a clever way to convert the masses. Could have done without Bruno Mars every 2 hours tho!

Speaking of "higher", it is getting a little chilly as I walk up here in these higher elevations. I should've planned to walk through Las Vegas for my "Stereo Love to Atlanta" Journey to Utah! event, because http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1a=Phoenix,+Az&2a=St+George,ut#cb37c2aaea5c4d8b8237844d I would've surely checked out The Vibe a little bit on the way. But it's all good because I have this here laptop with me as I continue to walk and I am about to enter the extreme south side edge of Prescott from Kirkland Junction. So far, the weather has been cooperative, but I'm worried about the scattered showers and colder weather with freezing temperatures that have been forecasted to enter the state Wednesday through Friday. I've received some minor mishaps from police officers up here in regard to the amount of clothing I'm wearing. Other than that, things are fine. I can't believe there is no station in Prescott playing Taio Cruz's "higher".

Is anyone in Prescott playing "Stereo Love"? Not even "THE Q, 102.9?" ::)

I finally grew to like the Kylie version as well, but I still prefer Taio Cruz alone during the chorus. He has a much better voice to take that style of chorus to "the next level".
