well, is anyone going to guess who will be let go next from CC? i think they have let go at least 3 people/wk for the past 3 wks. my guess is WHJJ will be all syndicated very soon but who knows maybe glover will last but it seems like the staff there is getting smaller and smaller. Now playing, the incredible shrinking newsroom! not sure if anyone would want to stay there...
 
At 6PM each night WPRO simulcasts NBC 10 News. It looks like WHJJ will need a similar agreement if they are going to have any News at all! Perhaps they can silmulcast WPRI News. This is just looking real sad for Clear Channel.

I could be wrong but I think it's over for now anyway. Any exits might be voluntary and would have to be in other markets since there's damn sure nothing around here.
The Coast staff is in place now with Jethro and The Pharmacist in the morning with newsperson du jour. Eagan's young and could move. He could do better. O'Leary would want Boston but he weekends at Magic already and I don't see anyone there leaving. If there was something in Boston he'd be there already.
B101? No one in the morning is at that mega-earnings echelon yet. Middays are voicetracked out of town and programming doesn't seem to care that very little show content is local. Afternoons are sleepwalked. The night show could be the next target.
HJY? Some people are at that mega-earnings echelon but I don't see changes right now although Laudani's been there over two years and I'd predict a move in 2007 which would mean Jen moves too.
 
Sorry but you posted while I did and I have no taste anyway. Why is it poor taste? It isn't fact. It's opinion. It goes on in show biz all the time and yes radio is show biz. Radio people want it both ways. They want to be looked at as media stars but when the going gets rough they want coddling and allowances made when they're discussed. By the way I don't like what's gone on either but talking about what could go on doesn't have any effect on anything. You don't want to be in the public spotlight? Get out of the public spotlight.
 
The tittle is 'Taking Bets', yes, thats bad taste. There are many who were fired that were screeners, producers, not hosts like Arlene Violet . Not public eye.
We complain about how vicious the coporates are.
Well, we're not acting much better.

Call me Mr. Poor taste, but I don't feel so bad. I'm not the one ripping jobs away. Call Clear Channel and voice your complaint. I bet the only one who doesn't lose his job is the Janitor.
 
Why would the janitor be safe? CC will just cut that position and make the PD start emptying trash, vaccuum and clean the toilets.
 
On- Air. The toilets at the Ghetto Penthouse are public restrooms for the whole floor and are shared with Cat- Country.

As for emptying the trash. "TRADE"
