Would be a shame to damage one of the best signals in DFW as a talk format...talk belongs on one of those underpowered or mis-located stations like 94.5.

That would really suck, leaving the Edge as the only thing resembling a rock station. Barf. Unless Russ does PMD. Then I'm all for it.

I'm on board with that. Chris Ryan is one of the better "jocks" I've listened to in my short life...Cindy Skull just deserves more. Seems like she's always being (profane) on. Alexis is good, too.

The rest of what they have, I'm not keen on. Don't like Big rig (nothing personal, just doesn't do it for me), Angela Chase sounds like she's always coked up and adds nothing relevant to the air and the other dude Lamont Sanford (or something like that) is too bush league.

But, isn't 105.3 supposed to be flipping back to the hot talk format? That would be odd or innovative to have two hot talk stations on the FM dial.
 
Didn't the Eagle just drop Lex & Terry in favor of a PPM-friendlier more music approach? If that's the case, then blowing up the entire format to go talk makes zero sense.
 
If Clear Channel is going to launch a new FM talk station in market 5, you can count on Rush Limbaugh being in the line-up sooner or later. It's a lock.

Why would they start stunting now? All speculation (being the key word) points to Russ being a part of that. If so, he can't do anything until April. Why would they stunt 2 months before a flip? With a logic like that, you must work in management! That's about the same cockamamie crap management across the nation is pulling, and it's killing radio.

Suits with no in-studio training, never hit the streets to meet a fan...Yup, sounds like it.

That will not happen, how many times we have to go through with this? Mr. Freeman is taking the morning show in a diffrent direction by playing music and less talk. This means no "Talk 97.1".

Chris Ryan is the only "live" one around there...and he's not live very often. If they were gonna flip to talk, why drop the all talk AM Show?

Whoever Mr. Freeman is would not have the control to prevent a format flip to talk itself, so it is really not up to this guy. Whatever happens, happens.
