Talk about cheap!

We should come of with a list of the top 10 ways to know that you're cheap if you own a radio station. Lars Larson coming to WBAP would definitely be number 1. What did you guys think once you found out who would be filling the 6-9 evening slot?

Posted on Golds board: It may get worse!

Letter from WBAP AM Dallas:

As you probably know by now, Gary McNamara is moving from his 6-9 PM time slot to co-host with Eric Harley on the Midnight Trucking Radio Network, beginning July 25.

For the next several weeks, you will hear various talk hosts on WBAP from 6-9 PM. I invite you to tune in and, if possible, let me know what you think. We're not conducting a talent contest or anything like that. We're simply taking a few weeks to give different people a shot at hosting a talk show on one of America's great radio stations before a permanent host is announced. If you have a comment, please e-mail me at [email protected].

This week, you will hear two different hosts. Lars Larson will be on July 25-27 (Mon-Wed). Lars is the "Mark Davis" of Portland, OR. He's the #1 talk show host in that city. On July 28-29, Hilarie Barsky will be behind the WBAP microphone. You may remember her as part of the "Jay and Hilarie Show" on KLIF from a few years ago.

We'll tell you next week who will be hosting Aug 1-5.

Thanks again for listening to WBAP.

Yes I like KMC and post on his group, but that doesnt automatically mean I cant have an differing opinion. I always thought Gold was better in the TV arena, why he never had a TV show like El Rushbo, O'Riley or Hannity i'll never know. Personally, I think his best work was when he would debate bob ray on channel 5 fridays at 10pm in the late 80's-early 90's. If given a TV show, he'd do great.

You are definitely entitled to your opinion, I just thought it was a little harsh...With his hearing issues TV would be difficult since he can't wear headphones

I thought Lars Larsen was good tonight...but what the hell do I know.
