Talk About "Stiff" Competition For News During Sweeps...

CBS affiliate WSPA/Spartanburg is making a major effort to gear toward the female demo on their newscasts for the upcoming sweeps period - so much so they've actually brought in a cardboard cutout of a woman in the demo to inspire the staffers.

Could this approach be coming to other MG stations like WFLA in Tampa?

Writes the author of the piece linked below: "Just when you thought this business could not [get] anymore crazy, now cardboard people are running news editorial meetings."
