You're read about Mike Gallagher's cheap stunt to get attention for his show, but in my once-annual tuning in to Rusty Humphries, I hear him spending minute upon minute railing against this as "giving into terrorists" by "some fellow talk show host" who he doesn't really like... in fact, someone we "probably haven't heard of" because he's a "third-rate talk host". Worth a laugh, Rusty Humphries calling someone third rate! :eek: :eek: :eek:

Which lead me to think, third-rate hosts must look pretty tiny when looked at from ninth-rate. ;D

Salem's Gallagher Talks Phelps Group Out Of Picketing Amish Girls' Funerals
SALEM talk host MIKE GALLAGHER has convinced members of Rev. FRED PHELPS' controversial anti-gay WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH not to picket the funerals of the girls murdered by a gunman at an Amish school in PENNSYLVANIA. GALLAGHER's web site says that he offered an hour of airtime to SHIRLEY PHELPS-ROPER as a guest for their assurance that they will not demonstrate at the funerals. PHELPS' group were preparing to picket because Gov. DE RENDELL had criticized them earlier this year; the group is the same responsible for picketing military funerals because they say AMERICA is displeasing God for tolerating homosexuality.

IMHO a cheap grand-stand play by Gallagher. And an open invitation to cult groupies and wackos. You say you want an hour of free air time on national radio. Threaten to picket some solemn event.

This church believes God causes innocent people to die because God is angry at the country - not necessarily at the people who died. And other churches start wringing their hands about this. Hey! The Bible teaches that this is what God does; this is his MO. Natural disasters. Invasions. Famine. The ground opening up. Punishment for the sins of the fathers unto the 35d and 4th generation. Wasn't anybody paying attention in Sunday School?
 
On the bright side, it sure beats having to listen to him smash watermelons during the entire show.
 
I have interviewed Margie Phelps on the air and I can honestly say that it was the one time I have ever been speechless and I said so. I did not hear this hour, but I assure you it was riverting radio. For the record, I believe someone in Tampa did this also to keep them out of there.
 
hump dee dumpy doesn't like medved...who trashed him...dumpty owes thousands in medical bills for his sickly wife..he doesn't have medical insurance trn has none for hosts....
