Talk on WALE trashed....

Word has it the talk format has been trashed.Reason too costly.The new format will be Polka.
"Urkel 99". Davidson who gears toward foriegn language radio wants to try a Polish format.There will also be talk shows aired on Satuday morning gearing towards the Polish community. :) ??? :eek:

That would've been funny if Davidson owned 990. They don't. They attempted to buy it several years ago but the deal fell through. According to the FCC, 990 The WALE is still owned by Cumbre Communications the company that bought it from whoever owned the station when it was Rennisance Radio. I know the guy's name was Bataglia, but I don't remember the name of his company.

It would be even funnier if any lick of the WALE talk was confirmed. Instead we get bullcrap all caps posts

The original WALE (when it was in New Bedford) had Wally Mishka's Polka Party every Sunday morning.
 
WALE was originally a Fall River station; the call was on what is now WHTB.
