Talk Radio Feb. Scoreboard for Top 10 Markets

This month, five Talk Radio stations in the largest markets finish in the top 10: KFI LA, WGN Chicago, WBAP Dallas, WMAL Washington and WSB Atlanta. We should also mention in Market #11, WJR Detroit is at #6.

All these stations scored at least a one-rating, except for legacy station KABC LA.

1. NYC...WABC #13 tie, WOR #21 tie
2. LA...KFI #4, KABC #34 tie
3. Chicago...WGN #4, WLS #15
4. San Francisco...KSFO #20 tie, KKSF #20 tie
5. Dallas...WBAP-AM-FM #8 tie
6. Houston...KTRH #12 tie
7. Washington...WMAL-AM-FM #7
8. Philadelphia...WWIQ(FM) #16, WPHT #20, WKXW(FM) #25
9. Atlanta...WSB/WSBB(FM) #4
10. Boston...WRKO #14

I noticed that Lew Dickey (reported on Radio Info) was still claiming that "events over a year ago" (Limbaugh-Fluke) are impacting talk radio advertising... I wonder if it isn't more of a change in listening habits, end of the election season, etc. I don't know.

Interesting that ksfo and kksf are tied now.
