Just curious- how many Part 15s are programming talk instead of music?

Also, how many are broadcasting 24 hours a day?

Well for me it is like this
24 hours a day
24 hours online
a few hours combined with a 50k station, which when I take phone calls my part 15'ers call in.

Talk radio is not easy, you need phone calls and alot of time. I program it and walk away.

What I'll be doing is this:

I have registered my Part 15 station as a not for profit corporation.
Through donations I'll be renting a space for the studio, and any community member who wants to host a shaow will donate for that hour. The donations recieved go back to the station and gets used to upkeep the studio, bills, and public outreaches.

8am-midnight: community hosts and programs
midnight to 8am: automated music and programming.

Interesting concept.
How did you register your part 15 as a non profit. Did you put down that you were providing a service to the disadvantaged? I have been told that cannot just make a broadcast non profit. One has to make the non profit focused on avenues such as counseling, food to the poor etc. Although I dont know how public tv gets the status

What? That's odd. Maybe it's different here in NY? Well, what you have to do is list the public objectives in the THIRD paragraph, make sure it is a Type C, not type B. One would think it was Type B, but nooooooo....learn from my mistakes, bro.

Better yet, email me: [email protected]

I'll send you a copy of my incorporation papers.

Check with your state for requirements.
