talk radio..talk over

i happened to tune into wilk this morning, and i know its news/talk, but when nancy, her guest co-host, who ever he is, rusty fender, and who ever else is on mike or on the phone all talk over each other, its annoying. first its rude, second, you dont know what the heck they are talking about, and they all want to be a star and get in on the act. this also happens on television news/ talk shows too. is this the new wave of talk? i like to hear all opinions, but when three people are talking at the same time, its impossible.. i still have a headache from this morning.

Cowboy your absolutely right, it's annoying to listen to radio talent's talk over one another all vying for their little share of the air-show.

TV example, Regis and kelly, Kelly Rippa never seems to know when to shut up and constantly talks
over and step's all over Regis, you'd think as a professional she'd know better and as a result I stopped watching Regis and kelly in the morning, she seems to wanna be the center of attention at all times, and you can actually see the aggravation on Regis' face from time to time when she pull's her little charade......So I agree with you it's so annoying.....

yes, and its everywhere. i watch bill o"reilly on fox, and he does the same thing. he invites a guest to be on the show for their professional advise, and he asks a question, and never allows them to finish there comment.. he jumps in and its a pain in the you know where. i guess they all want to be the know it all. radio, tv, they all do it..

guess so chuck, theres no need to post that kind of stuff. if you dont agree with what others say, then just say so.. if you cant come up with something intellgent about any comments on this site, then just remember.. silence is golden..hats off to radio-info..

yes it is to much today. talk radio has changed these last years., from the big boys, from rush, to imus right down to local talk stations, they all have to have a producer, a screener, and two or three other people in the studio to keep the talk going. i remember when talk radio begin in this area of n.e.pa. it was the host who took the phone calls, the hosts who booked guests, the host who ran his own board, and took readings, and kept the show moving right along. and it was one on one with the conversation and topic. i know times change, but i enjoyed the days when you knew what was being said on the air..thats talk radio..

Cowboy72, on the other hand, a well produced talk show network, Premier Broadcasting (Clear Channel) offer's up Coast to Coast AM, although late at night, I'm sure you have heard them, the host, the guest, and listener call-ins, handled totally professional and their nightly topic's are unique in themselves! I don't know if N.E. Pa offer's up Coast to Coast AM on any of the local broadcast facility's, but their sharp! It's how talk radio should be....Everywhere!

chuck, ill have to check it out. i know my wife listens to coast to coast program with george norry(?) around midnite and thats on wilk. she enjoys that when she cant sleep. i dont know if thats the one your talking about. he does have interesting guests, but sometimes gets the ufo people on, and it gets a little far out. maybe im just getting old and difficult. anyway, thanks for your posts. i always enjoy reading your imput to this site..the cowboy..

Kelly Ripa often has to fill in the blanks for Regis. He can't remember what he's talking about and has referred to an actor sitting next to him by the wrong name.

Cosmopolite: That's one thing you are correct about, when I did view the show Regis seemed to be slipping more and more as time wore on, I see retirement shortly, however my concerns were basically during their back and forth chit-chat prior to any guest arriving, Kelly was constantly stepping all over him and cutting him short, maybe she drank to much coffee prior to the show, meanwhile I'm sure she'd be happy hearing
"Live with Kelly and Mark"...........do ya think?
