Talk Show Hosts Rude

Yes, some talk show hosts are rude. They have to pick on someone
not to show their own shortcomings, so it's either the producer or
the screener. Arlene is tops in doing this as was JD. He still is
rude to his producer in Boston. I heard the people at HJJ were so glad to
see him go. I listen to him 1 or 2 times a wk just to see what he's up too,
but he's still the same....dull.
Do you remember Carolyn Fox. She used to really insult her guys on
the air (really insult).

Stern was the first one I ever remember doing this. He brought the audience into the his inner circle. I think everyone just followed suit. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Everyone saw how funny Stern was by insulting the staff. So others started doing it hoping for that same kind of success. However it was proven that not everyone can pull it off. Most radio people just arn't that funny. Without the right sense of humor the end result just isn't the same.

I've oftened wondered if talk show personalities (and for a few I use that term loosely) are deliberately picking on their listeners, guests and in-studio personnel...in order to cover up information THEY KNOW ABSOLOUTELY NOTHING ABOUT THEMSELVES? ???
