TALK TOPS TUNE TITANS IN AUTUMN TOME

Wow, if you missed yesterday's release of the Fall Book, you missed a big book for talk.

Sticking to the 12+ for the purpose of public discourse, talk on 104.5 and 99.7 landed in spots #6 and #7, besting The River, KDF, The Rock, and Jack. Of course, sports talk always does better in the Fall, but this book was huge for the Zone. As for Supertalk, they're up on election years, but in this non-election year, they weren't far off from last year's numbers.

Was this an anomaly, or is talk on the rise because it is a format of unique content, compared to music which is less and less unique to radio?

Gee, I wonder if Jim Rome had anything to do with that "epic" book. ;D

12+ ? So thats what your selling now? If the adult raitings were any good me thinks we would hear about it.....

Adults? Forget them! Look at what they're doing with teenage boys! :D (Forgive me Johnny Fever, but I couldn't resist)

Not nearly as funny as anything Johnny Fever would say or do, but I really am
contacting Rupert Holmes about a Christmas CD for next year...Mix gets exclusive
use of 10 or 12 songs and only RQQ will be able to keep up.

pretty soon all radio will be either right wing or sports talk as music moves to other media...people want their music on their own rules not what some radio programmer tells them to listen to..and the revolt is almost complete. AM soon will be gone and FM will be mostly talk with a few straggler music outlets for the elderly who can't understand the dagnabbit newfangled devices. WiFi in the car will eliminate most local radio and the GPS will do our traffic. No one wants or cares for news other than a few lines on their cell phones anyway so no need for news and newspaper are just about dead.
