Talkers list?

Hardly the most accurate thing out there (Boortz and Gallagher have almost 4mil listeners?!), a new Talkers list has come outwww.talkers.com/talkhosts.htmSeems like Harrison's mag has just decided, "what the heck, let's just throw everyone on". In addition to .25mil gains by a lot of folks, including Leykis, Brinker, and Colmes, Talkers has added Mancow and Rhodes for the first time, each debuting at 1.25mil, as well as Hewitt, Lars, and Lionel, debuting at an even 1mil with the current pack of folks making the bottom of the list.

My favorite item on the Talkers List is that they have Howard Stern tied with Laura Schlessinger as the third most popular talker, reaching 7.75 million weekly listeners. That's interesting. Apparently, the Talkers editors are not aware that Stern has moved to satellite radio where he now attracts a national audience about the same size as he did on his New York station last year. (Probably less than 500,000 listeners.)

Well they're fourth, but still...I love the hosts who you figure get the majority or at least a huge chunk of their audience from their flagship (Boortz, Dr. Laura, Leykis, et al). There aren't 3.75mil people listening to WSB. Or 7.75mil for KFI.

Maybe you are not aware that their current estimates are based on Fall, 2005 Arbitron numbers. It's hard to miss it, right there at the top of the list.
