Doc:
Yes it is...I haven't seen any postings on this forum w/ video. If you have elsewhere, please post...and thanks in advance. -T

Franken did not receive the award during the Saturday seminars, he received it during a special welcoming cocktail party sponsored by TRN on Friday evening. Mr. Franken had the poor taste to not only extend his thank you speech well beyond 20 minutes (he was told to keep it under 5) but he also expressed the rather poor judgement to criticize a TRN talk host during his remarks. He lost the audience after about 7 minutes and after a brew-ha-ha with Michael Harrison, agreed to leave the stage after about 25 minutes. John Mainelli wrote a piece about it.

This was already covered in another thread.....and you have some inaccurate info in your post...... Franken was not on 25 mins....was not told to keeep it under 5..and was allowed to finish his speech after some other hosts including G.G. Liddy spoke up for him to finish....

I WAS THERE. He was on the stage for 25 minutes. He was told to keep it under 10 minutes (that straight from Michael Harrison). He did not finish his speech, but instead cut to the "quivering" jaw section and wrapped up. Had he finished his speech, he would have been at the podium for another 10-15 minutes. Those "other hosts" were few and far between and were the remaining 1/3 of the crowd inside versus the 2/3 that had left. Al Franken showed he has no regard for radio or those working in it.
