Tampa Bay Smooth Jazz Switch-a-roo

More bad news for smooth jazz. Tampa's smooth jazz WSJT will be swapping frequencies with "Wild" WLLD. WLLD will move to WSJT's class C signal at 94.1, while WSJT will move to the weaker 98.7 C2 facilities. Wonder how long it'll be before the smooth jazz disappears off the 98.7 frequency too? ::)

Here are the links to the respective WSJT and WLLD facilities (before and after):

Current WSJT at 94.1
New WSJT at 98.7

[EDIT-unauthorized promotion]

It's really not that big of a deal. Both stations cover Tampa proper pretty much the same. The difference is the suburbs. The new WSJT won't make it half as far east as before. I remember vacationing in Orlando last year and I could pick up WSJT almost as clearly as local WLOQ. That won't happen anymore. But as long as Orlando has their own station, it's not that bad of a loss.

But then again, at this point, do we care anymore? It's just a BA affiliate after all. LOL

I don't think it makes that much difference anyway. Last time I heard WSJT they sounded more urban than jazz.
